The Kings Arms, Holywell St.

Situated on the corner of the crossroads near the Bodleian and Sheldonian (and I think the site of the first advanced stop line for cyclists in Britain...) the KA is named after King James I who has a strong association with Wadham College next door.

A Youngs pub with lofty ceilings, a few nooks tucked away round the back bar and a room upstairs available for use. Several handpumps with regulars from Wells, Youngs and St. Austell and a couple of guests. Often very busy with students during term time, there is overflow onto the few benches outside on the Parks Rd side of the street – these are usually hard to get a seat at in summer!
